Kirov baths have been produced in Russia for more than one hundred years. Reviews of the cast-iron bathtubs of the Kirov factory are time-tested, because over time only the design of products changes, and the quality and manufacturing technology remain the same. Kirovsky factory keeps up to date and makes bathtubs of modern design, with different options for sizes and shapes, complete with handles, head restraints, and a drainage system.

Kirov cast-iron bathtubs - guest reviews and opinions

New technologies of the cast-iron baths of the Kirov factory
A comment
Gone are the days when everyone rushed to buy acrylic bathtubs and the same showers. So I began to look in the shops for a cast-iron bath. So to speak, do it yourself. I liked several models of the Kirov plant, namely: Triumph, Yumika and Ressa.

The surface of all models is smoother than the bathtubs of the same factory, but of the old model. As sellers explained to me: Now a new line of German production is installed at the plant and castings of higher quality. It is carried out by a vacuum-film molding method. Typically, this molding is used for casting complex configurations. Manual labor is minimized, which means that quality is fully controlled by electronics. After such information, I purchased the Triumph bath.

I was also attracted by the unusual design of the product. It seems like heavy cast iron, but the overall impression of a visual inspection of something stylish and exquisite
pros
Design, whiteness and evenness of the surface, price.
Minuses
Not.

Cast-iron classic - Kirov bath
A comment
The old cast-iron bathtub did not fit into the fashionable repair because of the “traces of time”. I decided to buy a cast-iron bathtub of the Kirov factory "Ressa 150". After our old bath, she’s a little slippery. I don’t even know if this is a disadvantage or not, but it has a very smooth surface. Handles on the side walls save from slipping.
The enamel is strong - the fallen off piece of tile did not leave any scratches on it. I have been using the bathroom for three years, but there are no complaints about the overall quality. The water in my city is very poor and I have to use aggressive cleaning agents for plaque. During operation, the surface did not turn yellow or crack. I conclude: high-quality enamel.

About sustainability I can note: it stands as “ingrown” to the floor. This time, domestic casters did not disappoint! I hope that she will withstand 25 years of warranty.
pros
High-quality enamel, comfortable handles, low price.
Minuses
A little slippery surface.
Term of use
more than five years

Kirov's cast-iron bathtub - reliable and warm
A comment
I would like to vote for the purchase of a cast-iron bathtub with both hands! Firstly, I see the reliability of such a bath in its complete “stationarity” - there is no doubt that it will turn over when you enter it. This contrast is especially noticeable after immersion in a steel bath. Secondly, it is in the cast-iron bath that you can lie down for a rather long time, without adding hot water (to maintain a comfortable temperature), and at the same time do not dilute priceless aromatic foams and other additives.

I can not fail to note that the enamel is very good, smooth, without any “sagging”, and even with silver ions! Since I am a lady of high stature and appropriate weight, but do not experience any discomfort when immersed (quite roomy).I have a Yumika model, 1700 × 750 mm.

When I had the opportunity to buy such a bath, without regret I said goodbye to the newfangled acrylic.
pros
Stability, pleasant enamel surface.
Minuses
High price.
Term of use
more than one year
