Siding dolomite

I decided to somehow ennoble the garage and the extension, for a long time I thought how to finish it. opted for siding. I chose the manufacturer, because everyone writes beautifully about their products. generally opted for the siding of the Dolomite plant. and actually never regretted it. They have a large selection of panels and colors. I chose ivory color and insert walnut slice.

The installation was done by myself, everything turned out without much effort. Simple and clear. It has been 7 years since that moment, and there haven’t been any modifications, although I regularly wash it with the use of automotive chemistry. Not faded during this time, not spoiled. Fully retained its original appearance.

The unsuccessful technical solution is apparently well-intentioned. From a distance it looks beautiful ... and that's all ... impractical and ill-conceived ... semi-finished in one word.

Siding is laid on the principle of "laminate" with minimal waste.

Awful technical solution:

1. practically no protection against the ingress of flowing water inside (the grooves are like absorbent funnels, there is no beating "spike" like a lining).

2. The grooves are not processed at all. All of them without exception need to be cut with a jigsaw or other tool to dock the panels). Creepy marriage and the lowest quality.

3. Lots of burrs on the back. Whatever gap you leave, the burrs will hold the panels like anchors. Why even talk about a "thermal gap" with such material. Disgusting quality molding panels.

4. Painting with an offset.

5. Doubtful quality of material. When cutting with scissors for metal, elasticity is felt. But by cutting the grinder the material suddenly becomes brittle (???)

We decided to sheathe my house with siding under the pebbles, because ordinary siding is somehow ordinary, and I wanted to do something unusual. They started looking, not expensive, but of good quality. It’s good that there is Internet, having looked at all the manufacturers, I read the reviews and decided to stay with a choice on the siding of the Russian manufacturer Dolomite. I liked the price of a large assortment of goods, various colors. Photos of the houses really helped to see how a house sheathed with Dolomite siding might look. In general, they bought, sheathed and were satisfied with the appearance of the house.The installation did not cause any difficulties, the quality is not bad. My house looks very cool, despite the fact that 3 years have already passed after installation, it has not changed from the original time.

Last year they decided to ennoble the house. I really wanted to panel with a stone-like texture, but it was too expensive. On the Internet stumbled upon the manufacturer's website Dolomite. The little-known brand was alarmed, but I really liked the pattern and colors of the Rocky Reef Lux panels. We settled on the following choice: the base is in the color of arabica, the facade is in the color of amber. A little upset by the lack of fittings in color, but because our windows and drains are dark, and arabica was also taken.
Separately pleased with the size of the panels at 2 m. It was easily brought in a trailer, did not have to spend money on delivery.
During installation, we tinkered a bit with the connecting grooves, but the result obtained paid off. The result was an excellent appearance of the house at a very affordable price.

About a year has passed since the installation, no negative changes have been noticed.

More recently, he worked with the Dolomite base siding, made agate (marble in blue and gray colors) on the walls and on the cappuccino base. In principle, I liked working, but I will not say that the material is the best. For me, as a person working in the construction industry, this is an average siding, not bad, but not the best.
Well, in general, I liked working with the material, and the view at home became beautiful!
So.

Pros:
- painted siding in bulk, all the grooves between the drawings are well painted;
- the material was acquired in different batches, the colors everywhere coincided;
- average thickness of 1.5 mm;
- all additional elements of excellent quality;
- the panels are rigid, it is convenient to work with them.

Minuses:
- guide grooves are cut crookedly;
- in some places holes for fasteners are not completely broken;
- collecting alone is not convenient, since the guide grooves do not match.

Despite all the variety of choices, we stopped at the Russian manufacturer of siding Dolomite. We bought the coloring "nut" (for reasons that light shades fade less), all the components got the same color scheme. Each panel cost us 285 rubles. Enough budget option.

Installation was done with their own hands. The only trouble was the presence of so-called "burrs" on all the holes for fasteners. But we fixed it by going through them with an ordinary grinder, with a thin disk. It took no more than one minute to process the panel, but after that it was not difficult to fix the panels. Everything went easy.

In general, over the year, the siding did not reveal anything criminal. Not peeling off and not sticking out. For us it is a good combination of price and quality.

Literally half a year ago, they clad a parental house with Dolomite siding. They were financially limited by this and chose domestic material with an acceptable pricing policy. I directly helped with the installation of this I can orient a little. Firstly, our house is tall, when I was choosing siding, I noticed that there are brands where the length of the board was short for us, and the Dolomite has three meters. Secondly, during installation, it turned out that his lock is very convenient. It also pleases the appearance of the house, it looks as if it was overlaid with natural stone.

During the operation (though not for long), there were no complaints, in the summer they tried to wash, it washes just fine, without effort with water from the hose.
I hope that I was not mistaken with the choice.
