Reviews and opinions of developers about kermzito concrete houses

Cheap and warm at a low price

My house itself is not made of expanded clay concrete. But five years ago he built a garage out of it. Loved the material, cheap and lightweight, easy to fit. Of course, you cannot build a multi-story building without a frame from it, but for cottages one of the best choices. Not so long ago I talked with a man whose house is made of expanded clay concrete. According to his stories, he also praised him for his ease and cheapness. The house is not only warm and dry, but also keeps cool in the summer. And the not very aesthetic texture of the blocks is easily covered by plaster, which perfectly lays on it even without a mesh and holds firmly.
pros
Low price, low density, excellent thermal insulation properties, ease of installation and plastering.
Minuses
Unaesthetic appearance of the surface without additional decoration, low strength.
Term of use
more than five years

More than a year ago, I bought a small plot of land on the outskirts of the city, with the goal of erecting dwellings on it for permanent residence. The apartment in which he lived, he decided to leave the married son. The house decided to build an attic type.

For the construction of the house, I chose expanded clay concrete blocks and do not regret my choice, despite the presence of some disadvantages of this building material. Expanded clay is not an expensive material, so it did not take a lot of money. The material is durable, frost-resistant, moisture-proof, lightweight, and holds heat well in the house. To make the interior look presentable, I had to cover the walls with stucco. This smoothed out the imperfect geometry of the material, which is its significant drawback. I do not recommend using this material for the construction of internal partitions in the house, since it is bulky.
pros
does not require large expenditures; the house is warm and dry.
Minuses
the need to open the walls with plaster.
Term of use
more than three years

All the good time! I want to share about this material, from it I have a house built. Most of the money was secured for the purchase of the land, not much was left for the house itself. I chose this inexpensive and very light material for building a house. The main thing is to choose the expanded clay concrete itself correctly, these blocks must be strong, not crumble, took full blocks for external walls, and hollow ones for internal ones. The price is much cheaper than brick, other blocks, the quality is excellent! Expanded clay has a number of advantages not only in price, they are moisture resistant, frost-resistant, it has excellent refractory qualities. The builder himself and I know what I'm talking about. They are large in volume, the house was built easily, although 3 people worked on it. With the appearance settled quickly, the siding helped out. Everything is done according to technology, the house is warm, although we only have one boiler and a fireplace (just in case) if there is no light. But if they suddenly turn off, the house cools down very slowly. I am very glad!
